Real Techniques Core Collection

Having heard so much abut the Real Technique brushes I had to try them out for myself and see how good they really are. For my first set I decided to buy the Core collection because its got the best variety of brushes.
       The set includes:

  • Detailer brush
  • Pointed foundation brush
  • Buffing brush
  • Contour brush
  • Panoramic brush case

There are a number of brushes out there, all different shapes and sizes so I decided to write this post to explain what each brush is and what they can be used for.

Detailer brush|

This tiny little brush is perfect for small areas of the face. You can use it with cream and liquid concealers to cover blemishes and spots. Its also perfect for eyeshadow and lipstick because you get to control the amount of detail you want.
I personally like to use it as an eyebrow brush because its the perfect size to shade them in.

Best used with - Liquid - Powder - Creams

Pointed Foundation brush|

This brush is designed to apply foundation to your face however its very small so it takes more time to apply foundation. Apart from the size it's quite good for applying foundation, but if you want a quicker coverage this wouldn't be the best to use. I tend to use this brush for contouring because the shape makes it perfect for drawing triangles and lines on your face. You could also use it to apply liquid highlighters and concealer as its not too big and will fit under the eye area.

Best used with - Liquid - Creams

Buffing brush|

This is my favourite brush in the core collection. Its great for applying powder and mineral foundation because the shape ensures you dont apply too much product and it spreads it evenly so you end up with a flawless look. Its also good for applying bronzer and translucent powder.

Best used with - Powder

Contour Brush|

This is another one of my favorites, its great for applying bronzer because it gets in the hollows of your cheeks and creates a perfect contour line, It blends really well so you get a natural look. It can be used for blusher and highlighters too as its the perfect size so you can control how much area you want to cover.

Best used with - Powder - Creams

I love all these brushes, they are really soft and apply makeup really well so I would definitely recommend these to anyone! I hope you've found this post useful, if you have any questions leave a message in the comments box and I'l get back to you.

Mandara Spa Amber Heaven Body Butter

Hi everyone hope you are all well! Today I'm going to share with you one of my all time favourite body butters. Its by Mandara Spa and its called 'Amber Heaven Body Butter'.

I came across this brand in Sainsbury's supermarket when I needed a small hand cream to soothe my dry hands from the freezing cold. It was on offer at the time so thought id give it ago. I was so impressed with the results that I had to try their other products. One being the Amber body Butter.
The scent is absolutely beautiful! I cant stop smelling it. The feel of it is also amazing, its very buttery and creamy. I love applying this product to my skin.

You can get some really nice mini sets which are perfect if you want to try out a few of their products for a lower cost. I love their range and its perfect for my skin because I'm very sensitive and none of their soaps or moisturizers irritate me :)

Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Review

I got this pretty little set from Body Shop as a gift for my Birthday last month. I haven't used Body Shop products for years so I was excited to try these out.
I love the packaging! The blues are beautiful and the silhouette design is so pretty! Normally I hate leaving shower and hair bottles around the bathroom but these are too pretty to put in the cupboard.

Fijian Water Lotus | Shower Gel

Usually shower gels that have a transparency tend to be harsh on my skin and leave me dry and itchy however this one left me feeling fresh and smooth. I have my showers at night time and I could still smell the gel on me in the morning.

Fijian Water Lotus | Body Lotion

The lotion smells lovely and dries really quick, it also felt very light on my skin which is perfect if you need to get dressed quickly.

Fijian Water Lotus | Body Spray

The body spray is very refreshing, it smells like real flowers and lasts quite a few hours. To build the fragrance make sure you use the previous products too because it makes a big difference.

Winter handbag beauty essentials

Like most girls my handbag is like my best friend, I take it everywhere I go carrying all the things I need to get me through the day. Now that the cold weather is here I've stocked up with the very best that winter has to offer so here's my winter handbag must haves that wont break the bank:

Nivea lip balm | Home Bargains £1.10
This is one of the best lip balms on the market, Its great for moisturizing lips and comes in a variety of different colours, tints and flavours to suit everyone's needs. I apply this every night and wake up in the morning with soft, smooth and chapped free lips. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Nivea soft refreshing cream | B&M stores 99p
I absolutely love this moisturizer! my hands get really dry in winter but as soon as I've applied the cream my hands are instantly restored. Its fast drying and leaves your skin feeling baby soft, its small size makes it perfect for handbags and it can also be used on your face and body.

Soap and Glory Hand Maid sanitizer | Boots £2.50
This is a must have essential in winter if your wanting to avoid a nasty cold or flu. There are different ones you can buy with a range of smells and colours but the best one I've used so far is Soap and Glory's Hand Maid. Its the only one that doesn't irritate my skin and doesn't dry it out plus its got a great smell and its pink!

Charlie Pink body spray | Superdrug 83p
Tangerine mixed with red fruits and dark vanilla smells great! there's a few different scents but this is my favourite.
